Black British actress Michaela Coel has narrated how a passenger aboard a Virgin
Atlantic flight mistook her for a flight attendant and told her to clean up her mess and increase the flight temperature.
Michaela and her followers seem to think the action of the passenger was intentional because the actress was not dressed like the flight attendants, yet the passenger chose to ask her to do the duty of the flight attendants.
Michaela wrote: "Congratulations to Virgin Atlantic passengers once again! A lady just confused me for a hostess and asked me to clean up her mess and increase the flight temp. What I’m wearing... what the staff are wearing.
Some say it was racism in action, others replied saying it was probably an honest mistake. But most social media users believe the passenger was intentionally trying to be disrespectful, considering her outfit looked nothing like that of the flight attendants.
Twiter user Jay Justice replied: "it could not be more obvious that you don't work there & are a passenger. this person has transcended confused and crossed into the realm of foolishness."
And another Twitter user wrote: "drag her!!! she knew what she was doing, her way of asserting power (whether consciously or subconsciously)
